nama amani, udita haya, bhakata-gita-same (1)
narada muni= The sage Narada, bajaya=plays, vina/veena=a kind of 7-stringed musical instrument usually seen with Saraswati, the goddess of learning, ‘radhika-ramana’ name = singing the names of Radhika and Radha-ramana.
nama=means the divine couple Themselves are same as Their name, amani=immediately, udita=appear,descend, Haya=does, bhakata=devotee’s, gita=song, -same=meaning the songs are chanted like sama-vedic hymns (1)
The supremely rasika Narada Muni plays his vina, singing the names of Shri Radhikaramana. Hearing this kirtana, nami Shri Radha and Shri Radhika-ramana Themselves immediately descend, dancing and tasting the bhava of Their own devotees.
amiya-dhara, varishe ghana, shravana-yugale giya
bhakata-jana, saghane nace, bhariya apana hiya (2)
amiya=nectar, dhara=flow, varishe=rain, ghana=a lot, dense, shravana-yugale=in the two ears, giya=enters,
Bhakata-jana=Devotees, saghane=with intense joy, Nace=dance, bhariya=fillling, apana=own, hiya=hearts (2)
Like a heavy downpour, a flood of nectar in the form of Their holy names enters the devotees’ ears, causing their hearts to expand with joy, and they also begin to dance.
madhuri-pura, asava pashi’, mataya jagata-jane
keha va kade, keha va nace, keha mate mane mane=in mind (3)
madhuri-pura = filled with sweetness, asava = intoxicating nectar, pashi’= entering, mataya=maddens, jagata-jane=entire world, all beings in the whole universe, keha va kade=some weep, keha va nace=some dance, keha mate mane mane=some others are inebriated in their minds (3)
Upon drinking through the ears this inebriating nectar, all beings in the whole
universe become maddened - some weep, some dance and others become fully intoxicated within their minds.
panca-vadana, narade dhari’, premera saghana rola
kamalasana, naciya bale, ‘bola bola hari bola’ (4)
panca-vadana=five-faced (Shiva), narade dhari=holding Narada, premera=full of love, saghana rola=singing with intense joy,
kamalasana=Brahamaji, naciya=while dancing, bale=says, ‘bola bola hari bola’ = telling others to say "Haribol"(4)
Five-faced Lord Shiva embraces Narada and, filled with prema, loudly sings the holy name while Brahmaji enthusiastically begins to dance and calls out, “Haribol! Haribol!”
sahasranana, parama-sukhe, ‘hari hari’ bali’ gaya
nama-prabhave, matila vishva, nama-rasa sabe paya (5)
sahasranana=thousand-faced Sheshanaga, parama-sukhe=in supreme happiness, ‘hari hari’ bali=saying Hari Hari, gaya=sings,
nama-prabhave=by the influence of chanting Lord’s name, matila vishva=the whole universe is enchanted, nama-rasa = nectar of the holy name, sabe=all, paya=relish, taste (5)
Thousand-faced Sheshanaga, feeling supreme happiness, sings out, “Hari! Hari!” By the astonishing influence of nama, the whole universe becomes enchanted and all taste the wonderful rasa of the holy name.
shri-krishna-nama, rasane sphuri’, pura’la amara asha
shri-rupa-pade, jacaye iha, bhakativinoda dasa (6)
shri-krishna-nama=name of Sri Krishna, rasane sphuri=manifesting on the tongue, pura’la=fulfills, amara=my, asha=all desires
shri-rupa= (at) Sri Rupa Goswami’s pade=at the lotus feet of Srla Rupa Goswami, jacaye iha=begs for this, bhakativinoda dasa=servant Bhaktivinoda (6)
This servant Bhaktivinoda prays to the lotus feet of Shri Rupa Gosvami, “May the holy name manifest on my tongue, thus fulfilling all my desires.”
